Bandhistory

Asmodi was founded by Bilwis, Daevas and Volac in 2004. It took a short period of time to complete the band with Morvan and Malphas and start songwriting. After a couple of gigs and a sample-recording of "Des Brandes Brunst" which was free for download, Malphas left the band for personal reasons just before the recording-session of the demo-cd "Schattenwald". So Morvan had to play the bass and the second guitar during the recordings. While working on the production and the release of the first CD Joetun joined the band as bass-player.

In June 2006 "Schattenwald" was released and got good reviews.

Shortly afterwards the release and the promotional-recordings Marrok found his way to Asmodi as 3rd guitarplayer. At first he was designated for some clean-acoustic parts and clean backing vocals. But we were quick on the uptake that he's a talented guy on the guitar so we decided to place him as a full-member.
Gigs all over Germany - for example at "Barther Metal Open Air", "Wolfszeit-Festival" and "Av is og ild Metal-Fest" - helped us to become more popular in this scene.

In January 2008 the breakup of Morvan and Asmodi surprisingly was announced. So the long intended CD "Sapere Aude" was recorded without Morvan and Marrok had to fill the missing part of morvans guitar. The expected release-date of "Sapere Aude" could not be hold due to intricacies in sound. After the switch into "JAK's Hell" where all "Endstille" albums were recorded we were favourably impressed by his work.

The limited sold out edition of "Schattenwald" was uploaded for free download.
